DESCRIPTION:

Freelance graphic designer needed for multi-page presentation.

We’re creating a company-defining capabilities presentation to be used with advertising and publicity agencies, start-ups, and large-scale organizations.

REQUIREMENTS:

We need a graphic designer who can transform our text into something polished, loud, and unique to help us stand out from the crowd.

Description:

  • 15-page presentation including images, text and embedded video
  • Ultimately we need a KeyNote or PPT file with fixed images and layout that will also allow us to edit the text later on.
  • A polished overall look with different, eye-catching images on every page
  • We’re based in New York but designers can work from anywhere!

Inpatient DRG Coding Specialist

DESCRIPTION:

Job Summary

  • Sign-on Bonus up to $4,000 – Based on Years of Academic Healthcare Coding Experience.

BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY.

Extract and analyze clinical information and translate this into codes for the most appropriate DRG, POA and PSI indicators, SOI and ROM scores, research, statistics, financial planning, compliance and marketing to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance with the International Classification of Diseases Manual-Clinical Modification.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Extract, review and analyze clinical information, identify and abstract all pertinent information and translate data into appropriate codes for appropriate DRG, POA and PSI indicators, SOI and ROM scores, research, statistics, financial planning, compliance and marketing to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance with established guidelines of all governmental regulatory agencies and third party payers.

Exercise independent judgment on determining cases complexity by utilizing clinical knowledge in order to understand the etiology, pathology, signs, symptoms, diagnostic studies, treatment modalities and prognosis of diseases and procedures to be coded. Research complex diagnoses and or procedures as needed to enhance coding knowledge to consistently apply the correct ICD-9-CM codes.
Interact closely with the Clinical Documentation Specialists and DRG Compliance Coordinators to query the medical staff appropriately and professionally to obtain accurate documentation necessary to ensure coding compliance and accuracy.

Expand job-related knowledge and skills by attending and participating in in-services and staff meetings. Keep abreast of coding guidelines and quarterly Coding Clinic.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

General supervision is received from a Coding Unit Supervisor.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED

None.

REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications

An Associates Degree in Health Information Technology and registration with the American Health Information Management Association as a RHIT or RHIA is necessary. Certification must be maintained through continuing education.
Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills and a high level of concentration.
Reasonable knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, treatment methods, patient care assessment, data collection techniques, and coding classification systems.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in a major academic medical center and ICD-9-CM coding and DRG grouper assignments.
Excellent computer skills and previous experience with 3M encoder.

Monthly metals industry publication seeks reporter to cover ferrous and nonferrous scrap markets.

REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate should have experience covering scrap markets, or working knowledge of metals recycling industry, or similar experience covering commodities with a demonstrated ability to learn new markets. We are a specialized firm that provides market information for the nation’s leading banks and metals producers and distributors. The scrap reporter will keep abreast of the market using sources and will receive guidance from in-house experts. Duties include a monthly report on the ferrous, copper, aluminum and stainless steel scrap markets, to include a description of trends and fundamentals, changes in price and market drivers. This is a regular freelance role that pays well and has potential to develop into more paid assignments.
